Somatic Stabilization Workshop
Overview
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, urgency, or collapse, this workshop is for you. If you want to show up beyond just scrolling and reposting, this workshop is for you. If you have complex trauma and/or know deep in your bones we need massive social change, this workshop is for you.
2026 is a year of turbulence, that’s already clear. The US empire is collapsing but in its extinction burst and will terrorize all of us until the bitter end. We need to be able to show up and not let overwhelm shut us down.
If there was only one somatic practice you used it should be a stabilization practice. The Oxford dictionary defines stabilize as “make or become unlikely to give way or overturn.” In my somatic lineage, Alchemical Alignment, stabilization is prioritized to give us capacity to be with intensity. Without stabilization we risk bypassing our experience, burning out, or collapsing into free.
Stabilization:
- Helps us find a felt sense of safety, even if just 1% more
- Gives us a wider perspective
- Orients us to present moment time (helpful for trauma babes)
- Allows for waves of experience to flow without overwhelming us
- Widens our capacity and resilience
We stabilize so we can take action without burning out. We stabilize so we can live without spiraling into freeze. We stabilize so we can create a new world.
In this workshop we will:
- Explore different kinds of stabilization practices so you walk away with options to experiment with on your own
- Learn what stabilization is and isn’t, and signs you need to stabilize
- Discuss how to navigate these intense times without bypassing
