About this event

Somatics class is a combination of slow movements and breathing which will support you in releasing tension and contracted muscles in your body. Somatics exercises reset the connection between the brain and the muscles and help relieve pain and discomfort which allow you to move more freely and connect with what your body needs.

Somatics exercises are done slowly and with deep awareness. This allows the nervous system to be engaged in the process of re-learning, and resetting the connection between the brain and the muscles, using a technique called pandiculation.

Practicing Somatics is great for those who want to eliminate muscle pain that accumulates from stress and tension and who want to maintain their flexibility, prevent injury and improve daily functional movement.

The exercises are done on a yoga mat and are appropriate for all ages.
