When we create from the senses, the body shifts from enemy to ally, guiding us back to our own deep inner wisdom. Join the10-week journey!

Somatic Art Making
Befriend Your Body

Sometimes our bodies feel like the enemy: they ache, hurt, and don’t always do what we want. But what if your body was actually your ally—trying to protect you, warn you, and offer insight and messages? What if you could tap into a deep wisdom held within your body?

In somatic art making, we connect with our breath and senses as we create. We move and explore—not to make art that is merely pretty, but to express what the moment truly holds. Through art making, we can down regulate (or upregulate) the nervous system and invite a parasympathetic state of openness, curiosity, and connection. We use the arts to build a relationship with our body and with our own inner wisdom.
