Solent Game Developers Meetup — December Edition (Show & Tell!)

Aaaaaaaaand we’re back for our final Solent Game Developers meetup of the year! Hosted by local games company Antivenin Games, join us for a relaxed afternoon for people who work in games or are making something themselves, and want to connect with others doing the same.

If you’re building a game (solo, indie, studio, contract, prototype, or somewhere between “concept” and “chaos”), this is your space to meet fellow devs, share what you’re working on, swap ideas, and enjoy some end-of-year community.

December comes with a soft Show & Tell theme. This is completely optional, there will be no presentations & no pressure. Bring something if you’d like to share it or get feedback: a build, an art piece, a mechanic, a UI mockup, or a cursed shader gremlin. All are welcome!

What to expect

• A friendly, low-pressure place to meet other people actively creating
• Optional Show & Tell: bring a laptop or just talk through your project
• Conversations about what we’re making, what’s working, and what’s… nearly working
• A chance to find collaborators, ask questions, trade advice, or just decompress
• A room full of people who also say “I’ll stop after this build” and then don’t

Who’s welcome

Anyone who works in games or is making something themselves, in any capacity:
Developers, artists, designers, writers, producers, tech folks, audio people, indies, contractors, studio teams, solo devs- if you’re creating (or if you're curious), you belong here.

Details

Light refreshments will be provided. October Books has a small kitchen on-site, and there are food options nearby if you want something more substantial. Parking is available at Westridge Road Car Park, just around the corner.
