Organized into 4 sessions of 2 hours each, this online memoir class is suitable for memoirists who enjoy dedicated lessons, group discussion and analysis, in-class prompts, feedback and developmental editing on submitted work, and a welcoming class environment. In our time together we will take a close look at, discuss, and utilize tools that hone voice, strengthen narrative arc, and deepen emotional resonance and complexity in the story you are telling. While suitable for writers at all stages of their project, this class is ideal for writers with manuscripts in progress who would like to transform their memoirs into dynamic and bracing journeys of self-discovery.
This class meets Thursdays 10am12pm PT on 10/23/25, 10/30/25, 11/6/25 & 11/13/25 and caps at 10 students.
