Social Prescribing Lab- Speed Friending and Collaborative Art Making

This event is part of Heartland Art Therapy's pilot social prescription program. Social prescribing is a new public health initiative to help people alleviate loneliness by connecting with others through shared interests. Our session today includes an activity called “speed friending” and collaborative art making.

Our art activity is intentionally simple to keep the activity stress free while tapping into the inherent human activity of making things together. This ancient form of human connection has disappeared in our modern era. As we learn more about our nervous systems, we now know that the benefits of a shared hands on activity can truly enhance our well being. We hope you enjoy the experience.
