SPEAKERS

Leonard DiPietro, Deputy Superintendent, Cambridge Police Department

Deputy Superintendent Leonard DiPietro has over 30 years of experience with the Cambridge Police Department. He currently serves as the Commanding Officer of the Criminal Investigation Unit. He previously served as the Commanding Officer of the Community Services Unit and initiated the Safety Net Collaborative in collaboration with community partners. A native of Cambridge, he has also served in various supervisory capacities within patrol operations and investigations.


Dr. Richard Dudley, MD, Private practice psychiatrist, former Deputy Commissioner of the NYC Department of Mental Health, Mental Retardation & Alcoholism Services


As a Pinnacle Professional Member in the field of Forensic Psychiatry, Dr. Dudley currently serves as a private practice psychiatrist with an office located on Manhattan's Upper West Side. With over 40 years of total career experience, his professional focus includes psychiatric therapy for adult men, as well as forensic psychiatry.

Representative James Cantwell, MA State Legislature

James Cantwell represents the towns of Marshfield and Scituate in the Massachusetts State Legislature. Issue areas that Representative Cantwell prioritizes include Coastal Preservation and Resiliency, Substance Abuse Prevention, Transportation, and Suicide Prevention.

Strategies for Youth

Strategies for Youth (SFY) is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to improving police/youth interactions and reducing disproportionate minority contact. SFY achieves its mission by training law enforcement how to use developmentally-appropriate, trauma-informed, equitable approaches with youth; teaching youth how to navigate interactions with peers and police; and engaging in policy development and research on structural factors affecting law enforcement's ability to work effectively with youth.
