Traditional Soap Making (NOT melt and pour)

I feel very connected and content when I am making soap.  I find it therapeutic and creative plus you end up with a beautiful useful product so it’s a win win.

There is something very pleasurable in producing a quality product that meets one or our basic needs. And when you make your own soap you have full control over the ingredients – from oils and butters to colors and fragrance.

Join me at the beautiful Borris House, County Carlow. This picturesque country house in the enchanting Barrow valley, is the ancestral home of the McMorrough Kavanaghs and has remained in the hands of the same family through centuries of culture, country practices and traditions.

This workshop is for the beginner or the just getting started soap maker. Together we will have fun creating a totally natural batch of soap – yours to take home. 

All ingredients included. You will also receive a comprehensive set of notes.

Tea Coffee and Snacks provided.

Please bring lunch and enjoy a break in the ornamental garden.

A towel - to insulate your soap for the journey home.

Don’t forget to bring a face shield and mask.
