Soap Making: Valentine's Day Workshop

Celebrate Valentine’s Day with a creative twist at our Soap Making Workshop—a fun, hands-on experience perfect for friends, couples, or anyone who loves to craft thoughtful gifts.

In this guided workshop, participants will design their own custom soap bars from start to finish. Choose from a variety of skin-safe colors and fragrances, (like Love Spell and Velvet Kiss), glitter, and plenty of red and pink hearts to embed into your soap.

No prior experience is needed, and all materials are provided. You’ll leave with beautifully handmade soaps and the satisfaction of creating something personal and meaningful. It’s a relaxed, creative way to celebrate love, creativity, and a little self-care this Valentine’s Day.

Please wear clothes you won't mind getting dirty as the oils can sometimes splatter.

• First, you will blend a unique scent for your soap from an assortment of essential and fragrance oils.
• Next, it's time to choose a color for your soap. You'll put on goggles and gloves and start to mix your soap.
• Once it's "traced", you'll pour your soapy creation into a mold,
• Soon it's time to decorate with colorful embeds, botanicals and glitter (Because, let's be honest, what doesn't go with glitter?). This is your chance to unleash your creativity and personalize your soap.

Angela Carillo is a licensed and certified Medical Technologist who started making soap as a hobby in 1999. In 2010, she started her company, Alegna Soap. A member of the Handcrafted Soap & Cosmetic Guild and Indie Business, Angela has spoken at soap conferences around the country. She teaches soap making classes in NYC, on Long Island, and has traveled to Haiti to teach for the Lovin' Soap Project.
