Learn strategies and tips for honing your job search from Carolyn Levine, AICP-C, an urban planner and founder of This Must Be The Place, a bi-weekly newsletter sharing opportunities for placemaking professionals, Hayden Harrison Plemmons, Senior Director, Organizational Operations at Downtown Denver Partnership and Carmen Mays, MPA, and urbanist and creative entrepreneur with over a decade of public sector experience.
SPEAKER BIOS
Carolyn Levine, AICP-C, is a planner at Design Workshop in Denver, where her work focuses on placemaking and community-based planning. She specializes in trauma-informed engagement and designing equitable public spaces that contribute to the social-emotional health and well-being of residents. She is the founder of This Must Be The Place, a bi-weekly newsletter sharing opportunities for placemaking professionals. Carolyn has a BFA from Rochester Institute of Technology and a MS in Urban Placemaking and Management from Pratt Institute.
Hayden Harrison Plemmons is a people and culture professional who is passionate about cities and the people who build them. She is committed to creating economically vibrant downtown areas through developing relationships and organizational culture, with a "humans first, talent second" approach. As Senior Director of Organizational Operations at Downtown Denver Partnership, she brings extensive experience and knowledge to her work.
Carmen Mays, MPA is an urbanist and creative entrepreneur that believes in the balance of thought leadership and implementation. She affirms that all people have value, and each place holds invaluable stories. Carmen employs a place-based approach that facilitates agency and self-determination to develop blueprints that industry leaders successfully leverage. She has over a decade of public sector experience, with a significant portion of her career spent in community economic development at various local governments.
