What should parents know about teenage trends in vaping, tobacco, e-cigarettes, and social media? Join Erin Vogel, PhD, USC, to learn more.

About this event

How has teenage use of tobacco (nicotine), e-cigarettes, and vapes changed during the pandemic? And how does social media influence the health behaviors of adolescents?

Join Erin Vogel, PhD, USC, to learn answers to these questions and more. This online session will cover vaping, youth tobacco use, e-cigarettes, and the impact of social media on teenagers' health and well-being.

Dr. Erin Vogel is a Senior Research Associate at the USC Keck School of Medicine, where she is part of the USC Tobacco Center of Regulatory Science. Her research interests include youth tobacco use, social media and digital health, and tobacco use disparities in the LGBTQ+ community.

Parents, caregivers, educators, mental health professionals, and community members welcome! Free admission. Spanish interpretation will be available.

This presentation is sponsored by the San Mateo County Office of Education (SMCOE) Tobacco Use Education (TUPE) program, Sequoia Union High School District, Sequoia Healthcare District, Peninsula Health Care District, and The Parent Venture.
