Smart Strategies for Teachers: Mastering Reinforcement for Behavior Change
Overview
Join the Diagnostic Center North presenters — Tara Zombres, Board Certified Behavior Analyst, and Natalie Corona, Licensed Educational Psychologist — for a training focused on identifying, understanding, and intervening with problem behaviors in the classroom.
Through real-world examples and case studies, participants will explore the steps to creating a classroom environment rich in positive behavior supports. The session will cover evidence-based positive behavior intervention strategies and supports within the Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) framework. Strategies will address how to support the wide range of problem behaviors that students may exhibit across various classroom settings.
Participants will:
- Increase understanding of why students engage in problem behavior.
- Receive specific guidance on implementing positive behavior strategies within the classroom using the Prevent, Teach, Reinforce model.
- Create an action plan to enhance classroom-wide positive behavior supports.
