Smart Lunch! Simple Ways to Care for YOU While Caring for Others
Overview
During this lunchtime session, you will learn simple, realistic ways to nourish yourself while continuing to care for those you support. We’ll explore meal and snack ideas, mindful eating practices, stress-reducing tools, and ways to build accountability and support. You will leave with practical strategies you can begin using right away to feel more balanced, energized, and confident.
About the presenter
Ereka Bishop, RD, graduated from Washington State University with a Bachelor’s in Food Science and Human Nutrition and has a Masters in Public Administration, successfully completed her internship and passed her Registered Dietitian exam. Ereka began her career in the medical field but never felt it was a right fit. She worked for Tehama County at Women, Infant & Children’s Agency where she thrived counseling new moms. She wanted to experience a new side of Public Health and work with a broader and larger community, so started a job as a Public Health Nutritionist at Shasta County Public Health in 2005.
She has also taught nutrition at Shasta College and Diabetes Classes at Shasta Community College Health Center.

The 0-to-5 Smart Lunch features experts and speakers, some local, some from afar, addressing a variety of early childhood topics and concerns. Lunch is provided – come learn, have lunch and network! 25 spots are available for each 0-to-5 Smart Lunch. Register early to hold a spot.
