Description

Smart Cities Smart Buildings
CTBUH UK Chapter with Zaha Hadid Architets and ABB
Organised by Viviana R. Muscettola and Katrin Förster

The main focus of the event organised by ZHA with the support of CTBUH is to speculate on the future of our built environment by reflecting on the lesson learned in the past 50 years. The city of the Future will be designed to be sustainable and smart, socially responsive, self-learning and bottom up.

  • Which are the main discoveries of the past 50 years and how have these influenced our built environment?
  • How is AI and big data going to inform the City of the future?
  • How designers will use Smart technologies to better balance social, environmental, and economic opportunities?
  • Smart Tall and Smart Cities: how can they better interact?

A panel of speakers will present their latest speculation on the topic with a particular attention on how the collaborative efforts could be implemented between the disciplines.

  • Peter Murray | New London Architecture
  • Simon Giles | Tyrens London
  • Carolyn Dwyer | City of London Corporation
  • David Nicholl | ABB
  • Patrik Schumacher | Zaha Hadid Architect
