Workshop Summary:

Farmer Welding Skills for Practical Applications is a hands-on, four-hour workshop designed to teach farmers fundamental welding techniques with a focus on real-world farm repairs and projects. Participants will learn safety protocols, basic welding methods (such as stick, MIG, and TIG welding), and practical skills necessary to repair or build farm tools and equipment. The workshop includes guided practice on scrap metal, a step-by-step project fabrication, and finishing techniques. Each participant will leave with a completed farm-specific project, a welding toolkit, and the confidence to undertake future welding tasks independently. This event fosters practical skills, community connection, and increased farm independence. Dinner will be provided, offering an opportunity for community building and engagement.

Who This Workshop Is For:

Farmers and Ranchers: Those with little to no welding experience but interested in learning practical skills for repairing and building farm equipment.
Agricultural Workers: Individuals involved in farm maintenance or equipment repair seeking to add welding to their skillset.
Beginner Welders: Anyone new to welding who wants a safe, supportive environment to learn basic techniques.
Farmstead Enthusiasts: People wanting to create durable, farm-specific projects such as tool racks, gates, or frames.
Community Members: Those interested in hands-on skills, community engagement, and practical trades that support local farming operations.

No prior welding experience is required — just a willingness to learn and participate. Safety gear will be provided for the session and is yours to keep.
