Slam the Flow is the newest Poetry Slam/Open Mic in the Dallas/Ft-Worth Metroplex. This event provides a place for spoken word artists to perform their pieces in front of a live audience. Whether you are new to poetry, an experienced lyricist, or just someone who enjoys a poetic atmosphere, Slam the Flow is for you. Join us on the 2nd Tuesday of every month.
Event Format:
- 9:00 - 9:15pm - Welcome
- 9:30pm - 10:30pm - Poetry Slam
- 10:30pm - Special Guest Poet
- 11:00pm - End of Poetry Slam
Event Regulations
- There will be 15 slots for poets. 10 slots will be available before the date of the event. Only FIVE slots will be allowed for sign up at the door. It will be a first come/first serve basis
- All poets must perform an ORIGINAL piece. If a poet would like to perform a piece that belongs to someone else, they must have written consent from the original artist as well as get it approved by staff.
- Poets may utilize phone or paper to perform their piece. Poetry does NOT need to be memorized.
