This lesson is inspired by the work of contemporary Mexican ceramics and traditional Oaxacan face pottery. The intended outcome is to introduce handbuilt ceramics in a variety of classroom settings regardless of kiln availability. This lesson will cover basic handbuilding techniques, surface decoration using texture, and can be adapted to suit a variety of materials and classroom resources.
Snacks and all materials will be provided.
