Bettina Schaller, President of the World Employment Confederation and Head of the Group Public Affairs activities of the Adecco Group:

Beside her role as President of World Employment Confederation, Bettina heads the Group Public Affairs activities of the Adecco Group, headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland.Bettina is also Chair of the Business at OECD Employment, Labour and Social Affairs Committee and Co-Chair of the B20 Employment and Education Task Force, as well as a Member of the B20 International Business Advocacy Caucus, a Steering Group Member on the World Economic Forum (WEF) “Center for New Economy and Society” and a Steering Group Member of the Global Apprenticeship Network (GAN).

Bettina is a 2011 Young Leader of the American Swiss Foundation (ASF) and Member of the ASF Board Board as well as a Member of the Asia Society Switzerland Advisory Board. And Bettina sits on the Advisory Board of the “Geneva Center for Science and Diplomacy” “Geneva Process” with engages to build a Global Curriculum for Science and Diplomacy as well as on the Advisory Board of the South Africa based I AM ME Social Impact Platform and Inclusive Transformation Movement.

Bettina is a Founding Member of “The Boardroom” launched in 2021, a Swiss initiative aimed at driving Board Diversity and developing the pipeline of Future Women Leaders.

Since 2017, Bettina has been named a “Staffing 100 Europe Influencer” and into the International 50 of the “Global Power 100 – Women in Staffing”. In 2022, 2023 and 2025 Bettina was recognized as Latin America 25 Top Leader in Staffing.


Dr Christie Viljoen, PhD, Senior Manager & Lead Economist: Macro Analysis, PwC:

Christie is a Senior Economist at PwC South Africa with more than 15 years of experience in macroeconomic research, industry analysis, market entry studies, scenario planning, country risk assessments, and thought leadership production. He has frequently worked on key themes, including economic growth and development, business resilience, sustainability, job creation, skills development and education, energy, global and local risks, upskilling and education, public finance and debt, and global megatrends. Christie has a PhD in Economics from Stellenbosch University.


Tom Hadley, Independent workforce consultant and business coach:

Tom Hadley is the former Campaigns Director of the REC and a WEC Europe Board member, now working as a freelance consultant and keynote speaker. Tom has authored over 50 research reports and White Papers on the evolving world of work and uses his projects with the ILO and business leaders worldwide to curate global good practice ‘treasure troves’. He is also a Director of two pioneering youth charities—Youth Employment UK and Young Epilepsy—and a qualified rugby coach. He draws on his lived experiences from both sport and work to inform and energize his keynote talks and training programmes.
