Sketchbook Theatre brings Tolstoy’s The Death of Ivan Ilyich to life in a bold and innovative new adaptation by Victoria Mack- one that honors the depth of the original story while revealing its startling modernity and dark absurdist humor.

Performed by five superb veteran NYC actors in a uniquely intimate setting at Brooklyn Center for Theatre Research and accompanied by live music, this workshop reading offers a rare encounter with a classic story re-awakened.
