About this event

Arts • Theatre

"Siren Song," a new play in development by Tania Arazi Coambs, explores the life of British painter Edward Burne-Jones (1833–1898), caught between love, loyalty, and temptation, as the women around him take on mythic voices from Homer’s Odyssey. Inspired by Burne-Jones’ painting The Sirens (in the collection of the Ringling Museum), the play weaves together art, myth, and biography.

The event will also include a short lecture by art historian, Dr. Katherine Brion.
