Sip & Swipe Singles Event In NYC - A Fun Alternative To Speed Dating

What if there was an entirely new way to meet someone that is way more fun and efficient than the endless swiping on dating apps? Well, dating just got much easier with this revolutionary new event organized by Party Of 7... Sip & Swipe.

HOW IT WORKS

** We book a table for 7 to 12 singles looking to meet new people at a nice and stylish bar, cocktail lounge or wine bar (We always aim to have at least 7 people, hence our company name, Party Of 7, but on average we usually have 8 to 10 people in attendance).

** You'll get to enjoy cocktails (or non-alcoholic mocktails) and even order some food or an appetizer if you'd like while doing fun and easy icebreaker games to help you get to know everyone.

** Our virtual host will walk you through the event and icebreaker games via video on your phone (there's no awkward check in process or silly name tags).

** After you get your ticket we give you the table reservation name... You just tell the venue host the reservation name and you'll be directed to our table. Because there's no awkward check in process, no one else at the venue will even know you're at a singles event! It will just look like a group of friends having fun and talking around a table!

HERE'S THE REALLY COOL PART!

Before the event, all attendees will set up a quick profile with their picture on our app that takes less than 5 minutes to set up (only the other attendees of this event will see your profile). After the event we activate the profiles and send you a special link where you'll be able to see all of the other singles that attended the event. You can just swipe on the people you'd like to stay in touch with. It's that simple! You can swipe on people you're potentially interested in dating or even people that you think would make a good friends. We have an option to swipe on someone "as a friend" so people can also swipe on potential friends of either gender and not feel weird or awkward about it (we all need new friends!) making it a great way to also meet some wing men or wing women to go out with or do other fun activities with in the future. This event has led to countless relationships and friendships because of the smaller group and intimate setting you really get to know everyone and truly connect. It's the perfect way to meet someone, merging new technology and good old fashioned meeting in real life!

WHAT ARE THE ICEBREAKER GAMES ALL ABOUT?

You'll be doing fun "get to know you" icebreaker games like "Friendly Feud" which is similar to the popular prime time TV show we all know. In this game you and the other singles at the table will be asked fun questions like, "Name a gift that women love men to give them". You will try to come up with the most popular answer and then you'll find out if you got the top answer. Another example of an icebreaker game we do is "Would You Rather" where we ask interesting questions like, "Would you rather live in a small apartment by with 10 strangers for a year or on an island completely by yourself for a year". Everyone answers and tries to guess what the most popular answer will. It's so much fun and great way to get to know everyone!

This event has led to countless relationships and new friendships formed because after the event you'll be able to stay in touch with the people you met at the event by reaching out and contacting them on our app. After the event is over we allow you to login to the app and swipe on the people you'd like to stay in touch with. It's similar to a dating app but you'll have actually met and mingled with the people in person before deciding if you want to match and stay in touch with them! After you get your ticket you'll be able to upload a photo of yourself on our webpage (only viewable by the other event attendees). After you sign up you will get an email from us with instructions on how to upload your photo to our app/webpage. It's the perfect way to meet someone, merging new technology and good old fashioned meeting in real life!

CAN I PAY AT THE VENUE DOOR?

We do not accept payment at the venue. You must pre-pay and get your ticket online.

DOES MY TICKET INCLUDE DRINKS?
Your ticket doesn't cover drinks. There is a great selection of drinks (and/or food you can order at the venue). Your ticket covers the cost of us organizing and marketing the event.

HOW MANY WILL BE ATTENDING?

We usually have between 7 and 12 people in attendance. We always try to make sure we have a minimum of 7 (hence our name) people. On average we usually have between 8 and 10 people attend.

IS THE EVENT GENDER BALANCED?.

We do our best to keep the ratios close to even but sometimes there may be one or two more women and sometimes there may be one or two more men.

CAN I ARRIVE LATE?

Try to arrive on time or even a few minutes early.

CAN I COME ALONE?

Yes, about 85% come on their own.

ARE THERE DRINKS?

Yes, there's a full menu of great drinks you can order at the bar.

IS THERE FOOD AVAILABLE?

Yes you can order food. The venue has a food menu and great appetizers available to order.

IF I ATTENDED A PAST PARTY OF 7 SIP & SWIPE CAN I ATTEND ANOTHER ONE?

Absolutely! We change up the icebreakers at each event so come to as many events as you'd like.

WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE?

While we don't have a dress code we ask that you please look neat/presentable. What you wear to work or what you'd where for after work happy hour drinks is fine.

IS THERE A REFUND POLICY?

If you need to cancel, please email us and we can transfer you to a future event. However we do not offer transfers if you cancel on the day of the event or don't show up.
