Frequently asked questions

What is Sip & Support: A Therapist’s Release?

Sip & Support is a networking and self-care event designed specifically for mental health professionals. It provides a space to unwind, connect with like-minded professionals, and engage in meaningful conversations about the challenges and joys of working in the helping profession.

Who can attend this event?

This event is open to licensed clinicians, pre-licensed clinicians, graduate students, and individuals awaiting board approval. Additionally, any discipline that provides psychotherapy, such as LMHCs, LCSWs, LMFTs, psychologists, and psychiatrists, is welcome to attend.

Can I promote my business or services?

Absolutely! You are encouraged to bring business cards, flyers, or any materials related to your services, products, or upcoming events—especially those related to healing, self-care, or mental health.

I am an introvert and don’t know many people—will I feel out of place?

Not at all! The event is designed to foster a warm and welcoming atmosphere, with structured yet relaxed opportunities to engage in conversation. Whether you want to mingle or simply observe, you are free to participate at your own comfort level.

What should I expect at the event?

Expect a casual, engaging evening with light refreshments, structured activities, and open discussions about professional challenges and self-care. The event is meant to help you decompress, network, and gain valuable insights while enjoying a relaxed social setting.

Do I have to drink alcohol to participate?

No, alcohol consumption is completely optional. Non-alcoholic beverages will be available for those who prefer them.

I’m currently experiencing burnout—will this event be helpful for me?

Yes! This event is specifically designed to support mental health professionals who need a space to release stress, share experiences, and receive encouragement. We understand the weight of burnout and want to provide a safe space to refill your cup.

Will there be structured networking or is it free-flowing?

A mix of both! We’ll have structured icebreakers and conversation prompts to help attendees connect, but there will also be plenty of time for free-flowing conversations and organic networking.

Is this event therapy-focused, or is it more of a social gathering?

This is not a therapy session, but rather a social event with elements of professional support and self-care discussions. It’s a space to be yourself, relax, and build meaningful connections with other professionals in the field.

What should I wear?

The dress code is casual chic—come in what makes you feel comfortable and confident. Whether that’s business casual or something more relaxed, feel free to show up as your authentic self.

Can I bring a friend or colleague who isn’t a therapist?

This event is specifically designed for mental health professionals, so we ask that attendees be part of a field that involves psychotherapy or mental health work.

I’m nervous about attending alone. Will I feel out of place?

Not at all! Many attendees come solo, and we have structured activities to help everyone feel included. Plus, you’ll be among like-minded individuals who understand the unique challenges of the field.

Will there be any opportunities for collaborations or referrals?

Yes! This event is a great place to form new professional connections, discuss collaboration opportunities, and expand your referral network.

Is there a cost to attend?

Please check the event details for pricing and ticket availability. Some events may have an entry fee, while others may be free or donation-based.

How can I stay updated on future Sip & Support events?

When you make your $25 donation and attend, you will be added to our email list for future communication.
