Is this an all ages event?

All ages, if under the age of 14, we strongly encourage a parent or guardian accompany.

Is there a theme or genre to read?

No. Readers choice.

Is there parking available?

Metered street parking is available.

Are seats assigned?

Seats are first come first serve. There are a variety a few love seats, chairs with tables, high stools available. You may have to share a table with someone.

Do I have to sit in a chair?

No. This is a time for you to intentionally read. If you prefer to sit on the floor, please feel free to bring a yoga mat, blanket, pillow, etc. We will find a spot for you to sit in read as long as it does not block any entrances/exits.

Will there be food and drinks available?

Both will be available for purchase. The cafe may be sampling some drinks. Any specials or promos will be announced during the welcome and house rules.

Will this be truly silent?

No. This is not at a library. It is at a cafe. There will be cafe sounds. We will also be listening to some light lofi/ambient-esque music while reading.

Do I have to socialize/engage in small talk?

Only if you want to. We will break mid-way for folks to stretch, grab more drinks/eats..feel free to converse then. Also we will do a few rounds of Speed Book Club after the reading time has ended, should anyone like to participate.
