About the wines:

The first a precocious red – Intense with flavor; a bounty of violets, dark fruits and spice. The palate is awakened with sweet black cherry, chocolate and black pepper. Aged to maturity, this full-bodied selection pairs well with beef and lamb and spicy meats, like mortadella, chorizo, and speck. A Manchego or Gouda, Swiss and Shape Provolone also pair well with the notes offered.

The second a pixie white – aromatic with a nose for lychee, peach and nutmeg or cinnamon. This specimen is a delight with spicy Thai or Indian, fabulous with Moroccan and at home with cheeses and selections from the sea–Scallops, Shrimp, Lobster. It can and often balances the strong cheeses and is a great summer sipping wine. A subtle but memorable sample of wines form regions you may not have previously tried.
