Learn to craft all-natural homemade sodas! No artificial flavors, colors, or high-fructose corn syrup. We will be making two different styles of soda syrup. The first is an infused syrup using real fruit, sugar, herbs, and spices. The second is a historic technique that’s making a comeback; the shrub. This method of preserving fruit flavors with vinegar and sugar was developed in England during the 17th century and was popular in early America. With these two methods, you can make any flavor of soda you imagine. Whichever method you choose, just pour a little of your syrup into a glass, add sparkling water and enjoy!
Participants will be able to taste samples of shrubs and take home a small sample.
