Celebrate the launch of a FREE sexual health and harm reduction vending machine, a collaboration between Midwest Access Coalition and Justice Empowerment Network.
Join us on Friday, November 14 from 6pm-9pm at Full Circle Book Co-Op to welcome this much-needed resource in Sioux Falls! Enjoy live performances, including Etta And The Vendetta, and a DIY zine and button station at this all-ages event. Food will be provided and drinks (NA & alcoholic) will be available for purchase. Bring the whole fam out to spend time with the community and celebrate access to free contraception in South Dakota!
About the Sexual Health and Harm Reduction Vending Machine:
Located at Full Circle Book Co-Op, this vending machine provides South Dakotans with:
- Free contraception like condoms and Plan B
- Free sexual health supplies including pregnancy tests and menstrual products
- Free harm reduction resources like Narcan and drug testing strips
- … And more!
Any human, any age can access the vending machine at Full Circle Book Co-Op during opening hours (M-Th: 4 pm-10 pm, F: 4 pm-12 am, Sa: 10 am-12 am, Su: 12 pm-10 pm).
Event Accessibility Info:
- There are no stairs or steps to enter or throughout the venue.
- There is one single all gender bathroom.
- Masks will be strongly encouraged at this event. We will provide masks for folks that do not have their own
Justice Empowerment Network (JEN) is an abortion fund and practical support network, founded in 2020 to address the complex needs of South Dakota abortion seekers. JEN covers abortion funding, travel expenses and logistics, other expenses that act as barriers to abortion care (childcare, food, etc) and distributes free emergency contraception. JEN also engages in local grassroots organizing, abortion de-stigmatization campaigns, and provides education about abortion pills, anti-racism, and womb sovereignty.
Midwest Access Coalition (MAC) is a practical support abortion fund supporting people traveling to, from and within the Midwest for abortion care. MAC can support with many barriers pregnant people may face while traveling for care such as paying for and booking lodging, transportation, food, childcare and more. MAC also distributes free contraception and sexual health and harm reduction supplies via our free vending machines throughout the Midwest and by mail to anyone in the US. This will be MAC's fourth vending machine, the other three located in Chicago, IL, Indianapolis, IN and Bloomington, IN.
