Dating in Los Angeles can feel like merging onto the 405 at rush hour: chaotic, slow-moving, and full of missed connections. So we decided to switch gears—well, bikes—and team up with our friends at SoulCycle to host a spin class for singles.
Here’s how the night will go:
7:00 PM – Check in
You’ll check in with your event host and the SoulCycle front desk, yes, two check-ins, but both are key. Your host will get you into our matchmaking system, where you’ll be able to scope out other riders before and after class (more information on that below). Then the SoulCycle team will get you set up with shoes and help you adjust your bike.
7:30 PM – Class is in session!
SoulCycle feels a lot like a dance party: it’s dark, loud, sweaty, and fun. We’ll spin to a curated playlist from our instructor, starting with a warm-up, building through hills and sprints, moving into an arm series, and ending with a final cardio push before cooling down with a restorative stretch.
8:15 PM – Quick refresh.
Take a few minutes to towel off, swipe on some deodorant, and freshen up for the next part of the night (no need to look flawless, we’ll all be a little sweaty. That’s part of the charm).
8:30 PM – Walk over to the bar!
We regroup in the SoulCycle lobby and head to the next destination: a nearby bar. Over a drink or two, you’ll have the chance to mix, mingle, and maybe even flirt with your new cycle crush. Our dating tech will show you who you're most compatible with based on your profile (see below)
