With support from Athletic Brewing Company, the Ottawa National Forest, and generous fundraising efforts, the Upper Peninsula Climbers Coalition (UPCC) has partnered with the Access Fund Conservation Team to improve climber access at Silver Mountain.
Dates: Saturdays and Sundays, October 5 - 18, 2025.
Meeting Time & Location:
Meet at 9am at Silver Mountain, MI parking area. Work wraps up around 3pm.
Feel free to bring your climbing gear to get some post-volunteer pitches!
Project: We will work on building critical infrastructure to retain staging areas and create sustainable cliffside approach trails.
Camping: Limited camping is available at Silver Mountain.
For all Adopt a Crag events, please keep in mind the following:
Wear closed toed shoes. Long sleeves and pants are recommended.
Bring water, snacks, and extra layers for the elements.
Be prepared to be challenged, work hard, and gain karma points!
Work includes lifting and carrying up to 50-100 pounds, walking on unstable terrain, and being exposed to the elements (sun, rain, heat, cold, everything in between and beyond.)
