Active Engagement and Opportunities to Respond

On Wed. June 25, Carrie Cole from Side by Side Consulting will be working with teachers to help us improve engagment rates, something we all want to improve on in our classrooms.

On Thursday, June 26, Carrie will be working with teachers to help us hone our skills at wait time, and giving students an Opportunity to Respond. We will be learning new and different ways to consider using this simple, but often overlooked teaching tool.

How to find the College of Education:

From the intersection of N. 27th Street and Rimrock Rd, turn onto Rimrock Rd. Go west and look for the sign for NORMAL AVE. and turn onto NORMAL AVE. Follow the hill to the bottom, and look for the last, large brick building on the left. That is the College of Education Building. Park in either the lot to your right, or your left, and walk toward the College of Education. Look for signs directing you to the classroom.

There will be an hour break for lunch. Please bring your own water bottle and snacks.
