SHRM Certification Course (Fall 2025): Instructor Led - Hybrid Option

This comprehensive program, led by a SHRM-certified HR practitioner (via Zoom or in person at Doyon Utilities, 714 4th Avenue, Suite 100, Fairbanks, Alaska 99701), will guide you as you prepare to earn your SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification. You will experience a detailed review of the SHRM BASK™. The SHRM Body of Applied Skills and Knowledge™ (SHRM BASK™), formerly was known as the SHRM Body of Competency and Knowledge® (SHRM BoCK®). This material represents the evolution of the SHRM Competency Model by further defining the knowledge areas in addition to the behavioral competencies.

Classes will take place weekly, on Wednesday evenings, beginning September 10, 2025, from 5:15 PM - 8:15 PM (Alaska Time) / 6:15 PM - 9:15 PM (Pacific Time) in preparation for the testing period that opens in December 1, 2025 and ends February 15, 2026. Students are responsible for scheduling their tests. This course will include ten, Wednesday, evening classes.

Your Fee Includes:

• The 2025 SHRM Learning System (a $1025 value) with access to SHRM’s Online Study Resources containing pre and post-assessments as well as practice questions to test knowledge comprehension, flashcards, a study app planner to help prepare for success at exam time, and electronic access to learning system materials for when you are on the go!

• A series of Virtual sessions totaling 30 hours of instruction, taught by a qualified SHRM-SCP certified instructor. Gain guidance to help you comprehend and learn to apply your new HR knowledge.

• A virtual classroom environment providing networking, discussion, and collaboration opportunities, or in person if you live in the Fairbanks area.

• Network with peers to share real-life examples and bring HR knowledge and competencies to life.

• Recorded virtual sessions for viewing at your convenience through the end of the certification exam window. Great for review and reinforcement

During your learning experience, your expert facilitator will build upon the foundation you've already established through:

• your studies

• interactive discussions

• sample test questions, and

• periodic progress checks

You will be able to identify your areas of strength and build on them and pinpoint areas where you need further concentrated study in preparation for either exam. Your dynamic virtual (or in person) classroom experience, along with your in-depth study of the SHRM Learning System, will help ensure that you're well-prepared and confident on exam day.
