Oy, listen up, ya bunch of dahkney-lovin’ fools! SHREKTOBERFEST 2025 IS STOMPING BACK TO DURHAM and it’s gonna be bigger than ever! SO BIG, WE’RE TAKING OVER THE BLOCK AGAIN!!! Join us Saturday, 9/27, at 12 PM sharp for the FREE BLOCK PARTY EDITION OF SHREKTOBERFEST. Get yer green behinds here early to sign up for all the mad activities listed below, ’cause those spots’ll be gone quicker than your gum drop buttons! And don’t forget to come in costume—ya might just snag yerself the grand prize! Grab a Shrek-themed cocktail or some grub from our friends Blue Window Mediterranean and Smash Masters Smashburgers! It’s more than an Oktoberfest, it’s a SHREKTOBERFEST!

12:00 PM – We’re kicking things off with our Shrektoberfest Art Market from 12-5 PM! Browse through a curated selection of local artisans offering Shrek-themed creations, fairy tale-inspired crafts, and unique handmade goods. PLUS we’ve got @threecountrecords spinning those swamp-worthy tunes til’ 3pm.

2:00 PM – Then, it’s the “Shrekstravagant Feast Onion Eating Contest!” Ogres are like onions. Onions have layers. Ogres have layers. You get it?!? Gift cards & Shrek-themed goodies await the onion-eating champion.

3:00 PM – Next, it’s the “Ogre-Achiever Shrek Trivia!” Throw down that extra swampy knowledge and conquer four rounds of Shrek Trivia hosted by Thor w/ @hammeredtrivia

4:00 PM – Don your finest threads for our “Straight Outta Swampton Costume Contest!” Dress up as yer favorite fairytale character, and ya might just waltz away with gift cards, Shrek swag, and more! Show us what ya got, ya big ogre! AND we’ve got our best buddy @cb_jibberjabber DJ-ing til’ 7pm

5:00 PM – Then, it’s time for the grand showdown—the “Ogre and Ogrette Steinhold Competition!” Hold that stein steady, and prove you’re the last Shrek standin’. Only the strongest ogres will survive!
