At Shortboxed LIVE, you can expect to find the best dealer lineup the Bay Area has ever seen, incredible artists and creators, convention exclusives, main stage talks, giveaways and more, all in one big room.
For the serious collector, this is absolutely a show worth traveling to, and we're looking forward to meeting collectors and Shortboxed users from all over the country.
Attendance is limited and expected to sell out. Very limited tickets (if any) will be available at the door. If you can no longer attend, you can request a refund before the show, so we highly recommend buying advance tickets to guarantee entry and get in early. See below for more details.
9:00am - Badge Pick Up for Advance Ticket Holders
Attendees who purchased advance tickets can pick up their badges and start lining up to get into the convention hall before doors open at 10am.
10:00am - Doors Open for Advance Ticket Holders
Attendees who purchased advance tickets and picked up their badges can enter the convention hall.
11:00am - Tickets Available at the Door
If any tickets are still available, the box office window will open for attendees who wish to purchase tickets at the door the day of the show.

Featured Creators
Kelley Jones
Kelley Jones has worked in comics for over 30 years and renowned for his powerful use of light and shadow, and striking versions of DC’s Swamp Thing, Sandman, Deadman, and most notably Batman. Jones broke out in the late 80’s with his nightmarish interpretation of Deadman and went on to illustrate arguably the greatest Sandman storyline- ‘The Season of Mists‘, creating a host of memorable characters which defined the look and feel of this landmark series. During the epic Batman Knightfall event, Jones provided over 40 covers for both Detective Comics and Batman, defining the look of back-breaking Batman nemesis, Bane.
Mitch Gerads
Mitch Gerads is a Comic Artist who has made a career out of bringing humanity and realism to the superhuman and unreal. Best known for his much-lauded work at DC Comics with writer Tom King on MISTER MIRACLE, BATMAN, STRANGE ADVENTURES and THE SHERIFF OF BABYLON, he lives and draws in Phoenix, Arizona with his Catwoman, Lauren -- and his Robin, West.
Evan 'Doc' Shaner
Doc Shaner is a DC Comics exclusive cartoonist. He's known for his work on the multiple Eisner-nominated Strange Adventures with Tom King and Mitch Gerads, and Man of Steel with Brian Michael Bendis. Past works include Future Quest, The Terrifics, Supergirl, and Doom Patrol, The New Champion of SHAZAM! and others. He curently lives in Michigan with his wife, two children, and dog.
John Giang
John is an acclaimed Cover and Concept Artist. John has done covers for Spider-Man, Venom, Batman, Superman, Star Wars, and Last Ronin. John’s film credits include: Rogue One, Force Awakens, Avengers, Iron Man, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Transformers, and Rango. John has jammed with many publishers and companies such as Marvel, DC Comics, IDW, Paramount, Disney, Lucasfilm, Lego, and Hasbro.
Maria the Wolf
Maria the Wolf is a Chicago based comic book artist and illustrator who has taken the world by storm with her intensely powerful inks and unrelenting detail. Her covers for Marvel and DC are some of the most highly sought after in the industry today, delivering some of the most memorable and downright killer art you’ll ever find in a comic book.
Tom Waltz
Tom Waltz is the Group Editor/Creative Development for premiere comic book publisher IDW Publishing, as well as the writer of critically-acclaimed comic book series and graphic novels, including TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES, TMNT: THE LAST RONIN, THE LAST FALL, CHILDREN OF THE GRAVE, FINDING PEACE, AFTER THE FIRE, SILENT HILL: SINNER'S REWARD, SILENT HILL: PAST LIFE, SILENT HILL DOWNPOUR: ANNE'S STORY, DEAD RISING: ROAD TO FORTUNE, DUKE NUKEM: GLORIOUS BASTARD and many others.
Ciro Nieli
Ciro Nieli is an artist, animation producer, director and designer known for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2012), Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce Go! (2004) and Teen Titans (2003). He has done covers and art for Creepshow, IDW's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, TMNT New Animated Adventures, Batman/TMNT Adventures, and more.
Mark Bode
Mark Bode has been a professional comic book artist for many years. He designs toys, has a clothing line through DeKryptic, and as a legendary graffiti artist, paints murals all over the world. In the comic field Mark is known for MIAMI MICE, TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES and COBALT 60. He is presently working on an 84 page graphic novel for HEAVY METAL MAGAZINE.
Ken Mitchroney
Ken Mitchroney’s film and television credits include director, head of story, director of photography, and storyboard artist on Storks, The Lego Movie, The Ant Bully, Toy Story 2, Monsters Inc, Mighty Magiswords, and more. His comic book work includes IDW Teenage Mutant Ninja Turles, Ren & Stimpy, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Adventures, Myth Conceptions, and Space Ark.

We'll have raffle prizes all day including comic books and art, and every attendee will automatically receive one raffle entry. Additional raffle tickets will be available to purchase. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to two organizations we love that support comic book creators, the Hero Initiative and the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund. The grand prize is this incredible Wow Comics #10 CGC 9.0 Crowely Copy Pedigree Book. It's the single highest graded copy and valued at $10,000! Convention Exclusive Variant by Ciro Nieli
We're launching a Convention Exclusive Variant by Ciro Nieli for The Last Ronin: The Lost Years Director's Cut - available only at Shortboxed LIVE. In Ciro's own words, "the concept is that on his travels across Europe, Mikey would encounter bat people in Romania, controlled by a count in his castle." Yes, please! Ciro will be a guest at Shortboxed LIVE, so you can pick up your copy and have it signed and/or remarqued by him.

We're partnering up with Bird City Comics to launch a Convention Exclusive Variant by Maria the Wolf for The Giant Kokju #1 - available only at Shortboxed LIVE. Maria the Wolf will be a guest at Shortboxed LIVE, so you can pick up your copy and have it signed and/or remarqued by her!

These t-shirts will be available ONLY at Shortboxed LIVE and will be printed in an extremely limited quantity. You can pre-order a t-shirt for pickup at the show to guarantee one for yourself. Just add the t-shirt to your ticket purchase when you check out. If you already purchased tickets, you can purchase a t-shirt by itself under “Get Tickets” and select “Convention Exclusive T-Shirt ONLY.” The day of the show, just show your order confirmation email at the merch table to pick up your shirt.
Main Stage Talks
Shortboxed LIVE will feature a Main Stage right in the middle of the show floor featuring programming throughout the day. There will be a keynote from Shortboxed CEO & co-founder Gene Miguel, creator interviews, panel discussions, raffles, and more.
Featured Speaker: Eric Voss from New Rockstars. You've watched their trailer breakdowns and deep dive analyses into comic book films, now hear from Eric Voss live on stage!
CGC Submissions
Got a box of comics you've been meaning to get graded? You're in luck! Desert Wind Comics, longtime Signature Series facilitators and Authorized CGC Dealers, will be onsite accepting CGC submissions and witnessing signatures. Just visit their booth to drop off submissions or to get a CGC signature witness.

The hotel is connected directly to the convention center by a single hallway - you don't even have to leave the building!
The discounted convention rate for a single or double room is $189 per night, plus any applicable hotel taxes and fees. There is very limited availability for rooms at the discounted convention rate, so we highly recommend booking your room as early as possible. Once all discounted rooms have sold out, you'll have to pay the regular rate.

Airport
The nearest airport is San Jose International Airport (SJC), which is only 6.2 miles away from the convention center, about a 10 minute drive.
Parking
- Parking is free in the Santa Clara Convention Center Parking Garage.
- There are 1,500 parking spaces in the parking garage directly behind the convention center, and the 3rd floor has direct walking entry access to the convention center and the Hyatt Regency.
- Handicapped parking spots are located in front of the Santa Clara Convention Center.
Food & Beverage
We will have a fully-stocked food and concessions stand right on the show floor with hot food, sandwiches, fruit, snacks and drinks available for purchase during the event, directly behind the main stage. There will be a variety of food available, including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. You won't have to leave the show to grab food and miss valuable time!
Show Floor
We designed the show floor in a way that fosters community and engagement. No aisles, plenty of space, and all in one large room. Dealers are around the edges, creators and communal tables in the center, and a main stage that everyone can see.
