Improv is the most inclusive-form of acting, and a ton of fun! A great way to help improv social and communication skills in all areas of life, get comfortable expressing yourself, and meet new people in a fun setting. And it's a fantastic way to practice the art of acting and get to know the local improv and acting scene!

Plus, class attendees can join in for free at the Miami Improv Jam which takes place immediately after from 8-9 pm (a $10 value), where they can watch or jump on-stage and play! Regular attendees can who get the bug can also see about joining the Short Round Cast for our big, end of the month Mainstreet Madness Improv shows!
It's in a great location, too, as the Mainstreet Shopping center features restaurants, shops and a movie theater!
About our creative director: Fawad Siddiqui is an actor with over 18 years of experience, who started acting at Mainstreet but has gone on to work with every improv group in the city and to appear in 20 TV shows, a dozen films and a commercials, and numerous theater productions, locally and nationally.
A graduate of the University of Miami, Fawad trained at the Second City and iO Theaters in Chicago, and has acted alongside such well-known actors as George Clooney, Ewan McGregor, Naomi Watts, Matt Dillon, Stanley Tucci, Zoe Saldana, Casey Afleck and Hulk Hogan. He can be seen in recent appearances on Law Order: SVU, Special Ops: Lioness on Paramount+ and FBI on CBS. He recently completed a national Broadway tour of the play 'The Kite Runner.'
As his teacher, legendary South Florida improv teacher and actor Gerald Owens, did for him, Fawad has a passion for helping others get into acting and providing tips and info for making it an enjoyable experience!
Short Round also features an array of guest teachers including some of the top improvisers in South Florida!
