Join Whenua Farm for a hands-on, educational Shiitake mushroom log workshop at Steel Hands Brewery in Columbia, SC.

In this interactive class, you’ll learn how Shiitake mushrooms grow naturally on hardwood logs — just like the ones shown here. We’ll walk through the full mushroom life cycle, explain how log-grown mushrooms differ from indoor plastic bag systems, and show you how to grow gourmet mushrooms right in your own backyard. You will inoculate your very own hardwood log, tag it, label it and take it home to watch it grow and harvest Shiitake Mushrooms for 3+ years.
