Shift Happens: How Joy and Care can Transform Culture
Overview
SHIFT Happens
A room full of people remembering that work can feel good again...like, actually good. Where the vibe is honest, the laughter is real, and nobody’s pretending to have it all figured out.
It’s one hour to exhale, loosen your grip, and feel inspired. To stop faking “fine” and start finding flow.To remember that you’re not alone and you don’t have to be.
What to Expect
A space that feels more like a deep breath than a meeting.
Real people. Real laughter. Real talk about what actually helps.
A few moments that might surprise you — in the best way.
Time set aside for intentional connection — the kind that feels natural, not forced.
A reminder that work (and life) don’t have to be so heavy.
What You’ll Walk Away With
A lighter body and a clearer mind.
Fresh perspective on what makes people — and teams — thrive.
Simple tools to bring more ease, energy, and connection into your day.
New relationships that start with authenticity, not small talk.
A sense of relief knowing you’re not the only one figuring it out.
Maybe a few new friends who also believe joy counts as strategy.

Courtenay “Coco” Rogers is a Navy veteran and culture strategist with two
decades of leadership experience across government, nonprofit, and private
sectors. As a Surface Warfare Officer stationed in the Middle East aboard a
guided missile destroyer during Operation Enduring Freedom, she led
diverse teams in high-pressure environments where calm, clarity, and trust
were critical.
Her leadership approach is rooted in lived experience—balancing the
discipline of her military service with the vulnerability of entrepreneurship
and parenthood. She understands the weight of responsibility leaders carry,
and she knows how to design systems of trust that last. As founder of CoRo
Consulting, Coco partners with leaders and organizations to strengthen
culture through her CARETM framework—Clarity, Authenticity, Recognition,
and Empathy—helping teams restore stability, build trust, and thrive under
pressure.

Jess Miller is the creator of the Joy Activation Method (J.A.M.), a structured,
evidence-informed approach that helps teams regulate stress, build resilience,
and improve focus in high-stakes environments. With a career spanning
marketing, leadership, and group facilitation, Jess has spent years guiding
individuals and organizations through moments of change and pressure.
Her method translates research on nervous system regulation and team
dynamics into simple, repeatable practices that can be integrated into any
workplace. From corporate boardrooms to front-line service teams, Jess has
demonstrated how small, consistent practices can transform morale, sharpen
focus, and improve outcomes.
Like Coco, Jess brings both professional expertise and personal commitment
to the work of culture transformation. She has done the hard work of building
her own resilience and trust practices—and continues to live them daily. That
authenticity allows her to meet teams where they are, while equipping
leaders with practical tools to strengthen culture from the inside out.
