Hong Kong SHIFT Summer Intensive, August 5 - August 9 with international teaching artist Peter Chu! Peter is the Artistic Director and Founder of the contemporary company chuthis. A highly respected and sought-after artist, Peter has worked with world-renowned companies such as Ballet Jazz de Montreal, Crystal Pite's Kidd Pivot, Nederlands Dans Theater and more.

Join us for a week-long immersion in contemporary dance and elevate your dancing with 30 hours of classes in: Contemporary, chuthis. ideas, Floorwork, Repertory, Contemporary Partnering, Improvisation and Creation.

Peter’s class explores Qi Gong & Taichi fundamentals, modern dance principles, chuthis. repertoire and free-form/improvisational thoughts. The class encourages heightened mind/body familiarity, physical sensibility, listening and awareness guiding to the dancer to access more depth, power and emotion in their movement.

💛 Price: $6800 HKD (Register by April 30, 2025 for a 10% early-bird discount)

What is the daily schedule like?

Sample schedule - Contemporary (9-11am), Repertory (11am-12:30pm), Break (12:30-1:30pm), Creation (1:30-4pm)

Can International students participate?

What is the cancellation policy?

For cancellations made before 7 days prior to the intensive, $3400 HKD (50% is non-refundable) and the remainder can be refunded. No refunds for cancellations made within 7 days of the intensive.
