Shepherd’s Rest Studio Kintsugi Watercolor Workshop

Shepherd's Rest Studio is offering another pop-up Art and Wellness Workshop in downtown Travelers Rest. This "Gratitude" Workshop will be a faith-based watercolor kintsugi exploration to grow in thankfulness and joy amidst the bustle of the holiday season. We will reflect on the many gifts we have been given through throughout the year and contrast that with the places where we still feel in need of mending.

Kintsugi is an ancient Japanese art form where artists will take broken pieces of pottery and incorporate gold in the cracks as they mend the pieces together. In this workshop, we will blend watercolor and kintsugi techniques while talking about the biblical basis for gratitude and how God can renew our minds as we focus on the many gifts we have been given.

The cost of your ticket includes all of your supplies and refreshments for the evening. This will be a space for individual processing time and Scripture will be read for the participants throughout the evening. It is meant to be a space for reflecting and meeting with Jesus as you take a moment to pause in the midst of the hurry. This workshop is about the process of creating, not the product.
