Shelling Beans: An Underutilized Garden Resource
Overview
Many people love a good green bean from their garden, but the world of beans is so much more than that! This workshop will dive into the wonders of the legume, from the incredible cowpeas and fava beans to the chickpea and the good old-fashioned shelling bean. All of them are uniquely interesting, inspiring, and bring something wonderful to your garden. Many of them are under appreciated for their full potential to the gardener. Participants will deepen and broaden their leguminous knowledge in this engaging lesson, as well as get exposure to the many legumes they can add to their garden. From soil health to leafy greens to nutrition-packed seeds, legumes have it all! Pre-registration required.
