🦪 Join Us for a Shell Bagging Day!
We’ll be moving and bagging oyster shells into biodegradable bags that will later be used to restore vital marine habitats.
We’ll be working at our shell drop site at the REAP Climate Center, where all of our East Bay restaurant shells are dropped off. The shells come from our “chicken lounge,” where they’re picked clean by our hardworking chickens before being bagged up for restoration projects. These shells play a key role in rebuilding oyster reefs and supporting a healthy Bay ecosystem.
✅ What to bring:
- Closed-toe shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting messy
- Water bottle and sun protection
Register today and help us give these shells a second life in our Bay waters!
