Make your own flying bird puppet and learn how to glide, swoop, circle and roost!
Celebrating National Bird Week 2025, Shared Skies is a creative workshop and participatory puppet performance for children.
Children will take part in a craft and movement workshop before moving outside to take part in a joyful mass puppetry performance in a local green space, celebrating the shared nature of our skies and public places.
Shared Skies is designed for children aged 7–10, though younger or older participants may also enjoy taking part depending on the child. Parents and guardians are warmly welcome to join in.
Shared Skies is also taking place across the City of Darebin on the following dates:
18 October 2025: Keon Park Children’s Hub, Keon Park
19 October 2025: Jika Jika Community Centre, Northcote
25 October 2025: Donald Street Community Hall, Preston
26 October 2025: Bridge Darebin Arts & Community Centre, Thornbury
