About this event

about the gathering:

summer chill is an invitation to do just that - chill. in this gathering we’ll be offering an array of relaxing activities such as soap making, foot soak creation, bouquet making and aromatherapy roll on blending to bring home to integrate into your own unique care rituals. each participant will be able to create their own signature items from scratch at their own pace. summer chill is the first out of four gatherings for the shared being series.

about the series:

‘shared being’ is an invitation for women and gender diverse folks of colour to get together and enjoy what it means to be interconnected. although we live with individual experiences, histories and bodies, as a community, our intentions, actions and lives are deeply intertwined. as we work to strengthen ourselves, we in turn, strengthen the community.

the series is rooted in the concepts of co-regulation and co-creation, two tenets of healing justice, a care framework designed by and for supporting black, indigenous, and people of color/queer and trans and/or disabled folks. ‘shared being’ focuses on education, dreaming and ideation, somatic healing, artistic expression and explorations. overall, our plan is to explore the positive impacts of natural elements, co-regulation through community and leaning on each other’s wisdom for support.
