Shaping Guilt: Understanding, Connecting, and Transforming Through Clay
Overview
About the workshop
In this reflective art-based workshop, we explore the complex emotion of guilt — how it shows up in our lives, and what it has to teach us. Together, we’ll look at the different types of guilt, distinguish between helpful and unhelpful guilt, and discover how this emotion can be used to strengthen our relationships with others and deepen our connection with ourselves.
In the second half of the session, we’ll move from reflection to creation. Using clay, participants will externalize the feeling of guilt — giving it form, texture, and presence — and then explore how that form can shift or transform. Through this process, guilt becomes something we can see, touch, and reshape, opening space for release, forgiveness, and growth.
No artistic experience is needed — only curiosity and an open heart.
