About this event
Learn essential woodworking skills while creating a beautiful and functional piece for your home in this focused 4-hour workshop. You'll construct a classic Shaker style three-shelf bookcase using premium Baltic birch plywood and maple, mastering techniques that are fundamental to furniture making. This hands-on class is perfect for those looking to build confidence with key shop tools and learn precise joinery. You'll gain practical experience as you: Cut strong and accurate rabbet and dado joints for sturdy shelf and case construction. Build and attach a face frame, giving your bookcase a refined, traditional look. Accurately drill shelf pin holes for adjustable shelving. Apply edge banding for a clean, professional finish on plywood edges. You'll also get valuable hands-on time with essential woodworking machinery, including the table saw, router, router table, planer, and jointer, under expert guidance. You'll leave this workshop with a completed, ready-to-use bookcase and the skills to tackle your next woodworking project! All participants receive a 15% discount on merchandise purchased in the store on the same day of their class. Exclusions apply. Consider 1 on 1 private instruction.
