Shab-e-Yalda is a festive celebration of the longest night of the year, filled with delicious food, poetry, music, and community.

Please join the UCSF WomanLifeFreedom group for a magical night celebrating the longest night of the year! Shab-e-Yalda, also known as the Winter Solstice, is a time of joy, warmth, and togetherness. We'll be gathering at 2512 Mission St (Arcana: a natural wine bar, restaurant, and plant boutique) to enjoy delicious food, vibrant music, and traditional rituals.

Event time: 5:00pm-9:00pm

5:00-6:00 pm: Community Art Activity (Collage Project)

Followed by music, food, traditions, and celebration.

Ticket options:

  • General Admission
  • General Admission + Art Session (includes art materials; participants take home their artwork)
  • Donation Ticket (for anyone wishing to support our group and future events)
