SGGS Year 5 Open Evening

We are looking forward to welcoming prospective students, parents & carers to our school.

The format of the evening is designed to allow as many people to visit us as safely and comfortably as possible, there are 4 bookable sessions.

5.45 Session 1 till 6pm (15 mins) in Hall then 10 mins Year 7 orientation

tour till 6.00pm – then self-guided tour

6.10 Session 2 till 6.25 (15 mins) in Hall,10 min Year 7 orientation

tour till 6.30pm – then self-guided tour

6.35 Session 3 till 6.50pm (15 mins) in Hall,10 min Year 7 orientation

tour till 7.00pm – then self-guided tour

7.00 Session 4 till 7.15pm (15mins) in Hall, 10 min Year 7 orientation

tour till 7.25pm – then self-guided tour

Your visit will comprise of a welcome presentation from our Headteacher followed by a short orientation tour by Year 7 students. You will then have time to look around the school and to meet some of the teachers and students.

A few practicalities…

Please note the event is strictly open to one Year 5 student with either one or two parents/carers. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate siblings or extended family members; this is to allow as many families to visit us as possible.

Please have your ticket ready on your phone to show to the reception desk on your arrival.

We expect your visit to take approximately 1 hour.

Parking will be available at Anne Hathaway’s Cottage Car Park (CV37 9HH – please do NOT use the disabled/coach bays). We recommend allowing 10 minutes to walk down to SGGS from the car park. If the car park is full, please allow extra time to find alternative parking nearby and ensure you park considerately.

Please do not park on Shottery Road, as this causes significant disruption to our neighbours.

To help us manage this event, please arrive no more than 10 minutes before your pre-booked time.

The event is a very busy and popular one, unfortunately it will not be possible for you to slot into a later session if you arrive late
