About this event

Join us for an pre-screening VIP reception for festival speakers, artists, sponsors, and the neon community followed by a special screening. There will be refreshments, a new festival t-shirt, plus a neon preservation panel discussion of current projects.

SF Lost Neon Landscapes: A Special Screening at the Roxie Theater, SF. Hosted by Al and Randall, this is a program of San Francisco-centric neon shorts, home movie clips, and “hot of the scanner” found footage of the city’s lost neon landscape, all compiled and edited by Megan Prelinger of the Prelinger Archive!

Meet at the Roxie Theater reception room at 518 Valencia. Space for the reception is very limited, and includes cake, popcorn, coffee and beverages, plus free entrance to the film screening. Register soon!

This is an official event of the Neon Speaks Festival and Symposium, in proud partnership with the Roxie Theater and the Prelinger Archive. Check out the full schedule in September of events and in-person tours at neonspeaks.org

    Organized by

The annual Neon Speaks Festival & Symposium is produced by San Francisco Neon, a two-person preservation organization. There is a national movement of many dedicated neon preservationists, artists, and advocates that need a venue to come together to celebrate and share information on neon art, design, restoration, and preservation. Our goal is to educate and advocate for the artistic legacy of historic neon signs: a brilliant archive of design, craft, and city history.

Contact us if you would like to attend, volunteer, or present at the next symposium.
