If you ever thought you were funny, you were right! This Free Introductory Workshop explains what we mean. Being funny isn’t some magical gift only a few people are born with. It’s a skill, and just like riding a bike or ruining a dinner party, it can absolutely be taught.
Taught live by SFCC founder Kurtis Matthews, this online intro session is your backstage pass to the San Francisco Comedy College. You’ll get a taste of what we cover in our full 6-week Stand-Up Beginner Class, with free comedy theory and a proven formula that illustrates the structure of all comedy spoken, written, filmed, or displayed in silent films. Bring your questions, your skepticism, and your willingness to learn!
Classes are regularly offered online and in person at our San Francisco and Sunnyvale locations, but this session is 100% online and 100% free. Seats are limited to 20 online students, so save your spot before someone less funny takes it.
