🧵 Intro to Sewing — Beginner-Friendly Machine Basics
Always wanted to learn how to use a sewing machine but didn’t know where to start? This class is the perfect first step. In just 1.5 hours, you’ll learn the core skills every beginner needs to sew with confidence — and you’ll make a cute key fob project to take home!
With guided hands-on instruction and a small group size, you’ll practice using a sewing machine from start to finish: threading, stitch selection, adjusting tension, and sewing accessories like zippers and buttonholes. No experience or equipment needed.
You’ll Learn:
🔹 How to sew a basic key fob project (fabric provided or bring your own)
🔹 How to thread a sewing machine
🔹 How to set and test thread tension
🔹 How to adjust stitch style and length
✨ All equipment, supplies, and materials are included in the class fee.
Class Details
- Level: Beginner
- Duration: 1.5 hours
- Group Size: Up to 4 students
- Certification: Grants access to basic sewing machines with membership or maker day pass
What to Bring
Optional: one piece of fabric 15.5” x 3.5” if you’d like your key fob to match your personal style.
