Sewing 101 Workshop

Ready to learn the basics of sewing? Have a sewing machine sitting unused in your closet? It's definitely time to learn how to use it! Join us for Sewing 101 at 3016 Colonial Ave! Whether you're a complete beginner or just need a refresher, this in-person event is perfect for you. Our expert instructor will guide you through the fundamentals of sewing, from threading a needle to stitching like a pro. To reserve your spot, please do the following:

If you plan to BYOS (sewing machine), bring all necessary parts and the manual if you still have it. Please select ONLY General Admission.

If you need to borrow a sewing machine, don't worry, we will have one available for you at no additional cost. Please select BOTH General Admission AND Add-on: Borrow a Sewing Machine.

***If you do not select General admission, you will not be registered for the event.

During this workshop you will learn how to:

• Set up and take care of your machine
• Thread the machine & needle
• Wind the bobbin
• Check and adjust tension
• Adjust stitch length
• Basic Sewing Stitches - Sewing a straight line, zig-zag stitch, basic seam, basic hem
• Make a finished project to take home.

Fabric and sewing materials to practice on and make a finished project will be provided for you.
