SEWING 101: LEARN THE BASICS

If you've been wanting to learn to sew or you haven't touched a machine in years, this is the class for you! You will learn how to thread the machine, load the bobbin, adjust tension, change needles, and troubleshoot. You will sew straight lines, turns and backstitch. Also, you will learn about sewing techniques like seam allowances and how to adjust the settings on the machine.

In just one session we'll walk you through the basics; With all the new skills you have acquired you will create an ZIPPERED COSMETIC/ MENS TOOL BAG.

-We urge you arrive 10min prior to the start time of your class in order to check in and gather supplies. The class will begin promptly at the scheduled time.

-Those arriving after 15 minutes after the start of class will not be admitted and the class fee will be forfeited.

Here's what we'll cover:

• Basic intro to a sewing machine, including how to sew a straight seam
• How to cut fabric accurately
• Pinning and sewing seams, understanding seam allowance
• Install a regular zipper
• Leave class with an understanding of sewing fundamentals, and the knowledge to tackle more sewing projects on your own!

Yes! This class is intended for beginner and intermediate students who want to brush up on their skills and become confident.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No, you can bring an ID or show the tickets on your mobile device.

What can/can't I bring to the event?

We have sewing machines and tools for use, however you are welcome to bring your personal machine. If you choose to bring your own machine it must be in perfect working condition and have all of its accessories.

****What is the refund policy?

All classes are non refundable/ non transferable, however a friend can be sent in your place.

The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?

No, please send an email prior to the event so that we can update the record with the correct name.
